GujranwalaL: Hameedud Din Sialvi of Sial Sharif shrine reiterated his demand for Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah’s resignation on Sunday.
He was addressing a Khatme-e-Nubawat Conference at Sheranwala Bagh in Gujranwala.
Sialvi said the next conference would be held in Lahore and gave the provincial government till December 31 to announce Sanaullah’s resignation. If the demand was not met by the set date, he said, the clerics would not settle for anything less than the chief minister’s resignation. “The PML-N government has failed to satisfy the public about the change in Khatm-e-Nubuwat ordinance. Neither Shahbaz nor his son Hamza Shahbaz has fulfilled their commitments,” he said. He said the provincial government was playing a double game but the clerics would not sit down until the demands were met. “This is a religious issue not a political matter,” he said.
