LAHORE: Karachi police shot dead four terrorists who were suspected of being members of Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) during a raid in a house in Northern Bypass on Saturday.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rao Anwar, the police raided the house after an intelligence agency informed them about the terrorists’ presence. The raid turned into a shootout in which four terrorists were killed. The records linked them to multiple cases of terrorism in Karachi including the attack on Rangers and a grenade attack on police in Awami Colony.
The police also recovered three pistols and a sniper rifle from the scene.
