Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan says the government is working to make the media institutions vibrant.
Addressing APP workers in Islamabad, she said reforms are being introduced to bring improvement in the institution.
She said institutions are public properties and the government will not treat employees as they have been treated in the past. Moreover, the Special Assistant said suggestions of employees will be given due importance for better performance of the APP.

Earlier, she maintained that government in a short period of one year corrected the course through strong foundations, hard work and honesty. Referring to her ministry, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said reforms have been brought in PTV and it is becoming a profitable institution now.
“The government in its first year introduced wide-ranging reforms, improved performance of ministries, made institutions profitable and took far-reaching steps to financially help vulnerable sections of society,” she added.
