LAHORE: The Lahore Transport Company (LTC) with the collaboration of its private transport operator, Platform Tourism, has launched 20 air-conditioned buses to facilitate Sikh pilgrims, performing religious rituals in Pakistan in connection with Baisakhi festival.
According to the spokesperson for the LTC, “Unlike the previous year, the LTC is plying exclusive bus service for Sikh pilgrims on their visit to Baisakhi festival as per the agreed protocol between India and Pakistan.
In accordance with the operational plan, these buses will commute Sikh yatrees from Railway Station to Gurdwara Dera Sahib on their arrival through special trains.
Each commuter will be charged Rs 30 fare. Sikh pilgrims have appreciated the exclusive bus service facility launched by the LTC as a gesture of hospitality of Pakistani nation to Sikh yatrees.
