ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Monday submitted documents against the Sharif family over Panama case in the Supreme Court (SC).
The 686 pages of documents include details of bank accounts and loans written off.
“The petitioner seeks permission to bring on record attached documents; which are very relevant for just decision of the case,” stated Advocate Akhtar Ali in his request submitted to the apex court. The bench said that it would go through the documents before the constitution of the commission.
On the other hand, the prime minister’s children have submitted a request today to change their lawyer. They want to replace Salman Aslam Butt with senior advocate Akram Sheikh. The SC will resume hearing of the Panama case on November 15.
In its last hearing the Supreme Court directed Sharif family’s lawyer to submit all documents before the next hearing. Justice Asif Saeed Khosa directed the Sharif family’s lawyer to convince the court that the money was transferred abroad in accordance with the law.
Submitting replies on their behalf on November 7, Counsel Salman Butt said Maryam Nawaz, Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz are not public office holders. The counsel said that Maryam Nawaz is not dependant of the prime minister.
