SWABI: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Pervez Khattak said that they will reach Islamabad at any cost on Tuesday as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers are not afraid of anything.
Talking to a private news channel at Swabi Base Camp, KP CM said that at least fourty workers have been detained by police in Monday clash that took place on Peshawar-Islamabad motorway as around 5,000 stick-wielding party workers tried to remove barricades put in place by police.
“We are waiting for final signal from Imran Khan after which we will be leaving for federal capital”, he added. Pervez Khattak said that PTI workers from across the province are coming to participate in the ‘lockdown’.
On the other hand, two people who got injured in police tear gas shelling succumbed to injuries while several others are still under treatment. Earlier, PTI Chief Imran Khan took to the Twitter and directed the minister to retreat to Swabi and resume the march in afternoon.
