The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued the polling scheme for the National Assembly constituencies of the federal capital, Islamabad.
According to the scheme, a total of 765,348 voters are registered in the three constituencies of the capital— NA-52, NA-52 and NA-54— who can cast their vote in the day of election.
Polling Scheme:
In NA-52, a total of 245 polling stations, with 835 polling booths, would be set up.
There are a total of 234,508 voters registered in this constituency.
Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Afzal Khokhar, Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N)’s Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s Raja Khurrum Nawaz are the major candidates from NA-52
In NA-53 total of 325 polling stations, with 1,104 polling booths, would be set up.
The number of registered voters in the constituency are 312,143.
In this constituency, PTI’s Imran Khan and PML-N’s Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will contest elections.
PPP’s Syed Sibtul Haider, PTI’s disgruntled leader Ayesha Gulalai and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal’s Mian Aslam are the other major candidates contesting from here.
In NA-54, 216 polling stations with 754 polling booths would be set up where a total of 218,795 registered voters can cast their votes.
Here, PML-N’s Anjum Aqeel will take on PTI’s Asad Umar, who was elected from the capital’s NA-48 constituency in the last general election.
The elections are set to be held on July 25.
